Coming back after a break Mondayjazz mixes serie this week offers to ride on a border between urbanistic strokes and conceptual electronic music. American sound creator Pollination, whom just made an album Inca Orange, delivers MJ mix No. 103, under the fontal name Commuter. With it is allowed to check albums line by the ear glance and to hear some of it’s influencies with the wide open receptors.
Partly this mix in it’s tracklist, moods and aesthetics is typical for MJ stylistics, but on the other hand it takes us to the unusual sonic spaces. Pollination himself blends his creations from electroacustic experiments, tape manipulations and other for urban music quite exotic elements. In Commuter compilation beats are crossed with the experimental electronic music, computer folk, not being scared to go to melancholic levitations. So an interesting work for intense Monday’s listening and studying.Rokas
